NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University Athletic Director Jim Jarrett announced that 111 student athletes who earned a 3.4 grade point average or better in the classroom, were named dean's list students for the 2009 Fall semester, including ten students who compiled a 4.0 GPA.
The Dean's List student athletes will be honored at halftime of the men's VCU basketball game on Feb. 27th.
Field hockey led all ODU teams with the highest number of team members on the dean's list with 13, followed by football and women's soccer with 12 each dean's list student athletes.
The list includes Football quarterback, Thomas DeMarco, and All-American Long snapper Dustin Phillips, Adam Roscioli of Men's soccer who was named to ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA's Academic All-District squad, All-CAA thirdbaseman Jake McAloose, nationally ranked wrestler and NWCA All-Academic James Nicholson, CAA swimming and diving champion Chad Gangwer.
