CAREER:Samantha Morrell is a three-time Rhode Island Interscholastic League Girls state Champion...Four-time All-State Selection...37.2 scoring average which is the second lowest state wide among boys and girls. In 2008 she was first team All-State Girls Champion, First Team All-State Boys Tournament with a fourth place finish, and Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) second team All-American.
In national tournaments she won the FCWT New England Open at Newport National and lost in a playoff at the FCWT Red Tail Open. In regional tournaments, Morrell won the Junior tri-State Matches at Hop Meadow in Connecticut, took second at the New England Regional High School Championship with a 71, lost in a playoff at the US Challenge Cup World Series of Junior Golf at Triggs, RI., took second at Westfield Regional.
Morrell is a member of the National Honor Society and earned Principal's honors for all four quarters. She enjoys foreign languages and received awards in both Spanish and French for 90-plus average all year. She also plays the piano and enjoys the classics.
