Pearse Dolan joined the ODU men’s tennis staff prior to the 2021 fall season as a Student Assistant. Dolan played his first three years of collegiate tennis at Louisiana Lafayette before transferring to Old Dominion and finishing his college career as a Monarch.
Dolan’s Playing Career:
2020-21 (Senior at Old Dominion): Earned a C-USA Commissioner’s Medal for work in the classroom… Named to Conference USA Honor Roll… Compiled a 7-6 record for singles (3-1 versus C-USA opposition), while winning five matches in a row during the season… Recorded an 8-6 mark in doubles and went 3-0 against league tandems.
2018-19 (Junior at Louisiana Lafayette): Earned a double business degree with majors in economics and marketing (3.51 GPA)... Compiled a 9-9 overall record playing singles… Played the majority of the season as the No. 2 singles notching an 8-5 record… Finished the spring season in a strong fashion going 7-3… Tied for the most Sun Belt Conference singles matches wins on the team with four.
2017-18 (Sophomore at Louisiana Lafayette): Went 17-4 (singles) in dual matches and finished 19-7 (singles) overall... Played primarily at No. 5 singles... Saw significant time at No. 4 and No. 3 singles... Ended the season on an eight-match winning streak.
2016-17 (Freshman at Louisiana Lafayette): Went 5-10 in dual matches on the season and was 8-13 overall... Played primarily at No. 2 singles... Also saw time in singles play at No. 1, 3 and 4... Recorded a 13-10 record in doubles play during the season.
PREP: All-high school in tennis from 2010-2015, but also played on the basketball, soccer, volleyball, cross country, and squash teams…In tennis, was a two-time member of the All-Australian Team, All-State Team, and winner of the Team National Championship.
PERSONAL: Son of Niall and Jenny Dolan…Has one brother, Rory.
