"This was a very intense and fun dual match," ODU head coach Dominik Mueller said. "I am so proud of our guys, as we stayed composed and stepped up in big moments. We worked all season for this opportunity, and we are pumped for tomorrow."

For the second consecutive day, the Monarchs claimed the doubles point after receiving wins from No. 60 Luca Maldoner/Nicola Vidal (6-3) and Tomislav Podvinski/Pearse Dolan (6-4).

ODU men's tennis has won two league titles in 1994 (CAA) and 2018 (C-USA), while the Monarchs received an at large bid to the NCAA tournament in 2007.

Saturday's match was pushed back four hours and moved indoors due to inclement weather in Charlotte.
