Angie Hind took over the helm of ODU Women's Soccer in 2014 after serving as assistant National coach for the Scottish FA and Head Coach for Dartmouth college Women’s program. In just over a decade Hind has completely rebuilt the Monarchs into one of the most highly respected programs Nationally.

Since 2021, ODU Women's Soccer have won no fewer that 6 titles including back-to-back tournament Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023. In the past 5 years Hind has led ODU to a 2021 C-USA Regular season Championship and Tournament Title which saw the Monarchs head back to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 15 years. For her coaching efforts, Hind was named Conference USA Coach of the Year.  2022 saw the Monarchs shift to the SunBelt Conference and in their first year were crowned Sunbelt tournament Champions. The following season saw the Monarchs again dominate, winning both the East Region title and again lifting the 2023 Sunbelt tournament Championship and their 3rd consecutive visit to the NCAA National tournament as well as a historical 35 National ranking. 2025 saw the Monarchs again claim the Sunbelt East Region title and a top 50 National ranking.  

There have been many landmarks reached for the ODU Women's soccer program in Hind's tenure.

This fall, 2025 she reached her 100th win as the Monarch head coach and finished the season with a 11-3-5 record, an East Region Sunbelt title, and a top 50 National ranking. Defender Ashlynn Kulha was also chosen as Defender of the Year for the second consecutive year, and the Monarchs had the most players recognized in All-Conference honors. Incredibly ODU remained undefeated at home in conference play, extending this record to over two seasons.

2024 saw ODU compile another winning season with a 10-6-4 record and ended the season with a Semi-final loss in the Sunbelt Championship. Accolades for defender Ashlynn Kulha as she was voted the Sunbelt Defender of the year and Emily Bredek lifting Sunbelt GK of the year for her second consecutive season.  Incredibly ODU picked up there 2nd ever All-American award, and second in back-to-back years, as Ashlynn Kulha was selected for national recognition.

The 2023 campaign saw the Monarchs roar out the gate holding the opposition scoreless for over 540 minutes to begin the year, setting a school record. With a 13-3-5 record ODU won its third straight conference title, second consecutive Sun Belt crown, and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year. Ece Turkoglu became the first ODU player to earn All- American honors as she was named to the United soccer Coaches Association third team. Turkoglu was also named Sunbelt Player of the year and Emily Bredek picked up Sun Belt conference GK of the year.

The 2022 season produced a historic end to the Monarchs first ever season in the Sunbelt conference as they were crowned Tournament Champions, and for the second-year running secured the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. With a 9-9-3 record, which saw a slow start to the campaign, the Monarchs found form and the net at the right time to make history as Back-to-Back champions across two different conferences.

In 2021, ODU lifted their first championship under Hind as they convincingly swept both C-USA regular season title and were crowned C-USA Tournament champions. That saw the beginning of the Monarchs shift to be one of the top teams in the state of VA, and a regular NCAA tournament team with a convincing 13-5-1 overall record.

In total, ODU Women's soccer, under Head coach Angie Hind holds a 102-75-36 record, and for Hind a personal career record of 156-113-44 at the Division 1 college level.

Throughout her tenure Hind has recruited excellence in the classroom and over the course has maintained a Team GPA averaging above a 3.55 and regularly posted athletes on the conference All-academic teams, with three receiving United Soccer Coaches Association Scholar All-American accolades.

Hind has also remained connected to the Scottish FA and served as a national scout and was a lead analysis for Scotland in their last major tournament qualification at the women's world cup in France, 2019.

Prior to joining the Monarchs, Hind served as the Head Women's Coach and Youth Academy Manager of Rangers F.C., a prestigious football club in Glasgow, Scotland. In the 2013 season, prior to joining the Monarchs, she compiled a 17-9-4 record, while also having 15 players throughout the club selected to senior and youth national teams.

Before taking the helm at Rangers, Hind spent two seasons as the assistant national coach for the Scottish Football Association. In those two years, Hind aided Scotland to a 15-10-6 record, their highest ever FIFA ranking, as well as qualifying for the Euro Championship play-offs.

From Feb. 2005 to Dec 2010, Hind was the head coach of Dartmouth College Women’s Soccer program, a prestigious Ivy League school in New Hampshire. There she impressively led the Big Green to a 54-38-8 overall record, an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and three seasons as runner-up. In 2006 Dartmouth were ranked as high as No.13 in the nation. Under Hind's direction, Dartmouth had a total of 28 players selected for All-Ivy League teams, seven All New England selections, and four voted to NSCAA All-Region teams.

Before taking the lead at Dartmouth, Hind served as the Assistant coach for two seasons 2003 and 2004 and in her first season helped lead the Big Green to an Ivy-League Title and the NCAA tournament.

I am confident our women's soccer program will thrive under the direction of Coach Angie Hind," said Director of Athletics Dr. Wood Selig.

A native of Kilmarnock, Scotland, Hind arrived at Dartmouth after a five-year stint with the Scottish Football Association where she served as a Coach Educator, and development officer for the City of Glasgow. During her time with the Scottish FA, Hind was appointed the head coach for Scotland's largest girl's development squad program where she coached, and selected regional squads at the U-17, U-15, and U13 age levels, guiding 18 players to selection for youth and senior level National teams.

As a player, Hind represented the Scottish National team for three years between 1999-2002 and competed for 17 years at the junior and Senior levels with F.C. Kilmarnock. She captained F.C. Kilmarnock to five Scottish League and cup medals between 2001-03, winning every major trophy in the Scottish game.

After retiring as a player from the national squad, Hind was invited to assist the national coaching staff with the Senior 'A' and youth squads, having previously coached the U-16 national squad from 1997-98.

She holds her UEFA 'A' license and Youth and children's License and previously served as a staff tutor and coach educator for the Scottish FA. Hind has also served as a guest speaker for the NSCAA National convention. A 1998 graduate of Strathclyde University (Jordanhill), in Glasgow, Hind received her bachelor's degree with commendation in Sports coaching and fitness.
