Nick Murray joined the Monarchs in 2023 as the team's Director of Player Development. He assists with the Monarchs' pitching and throwing development while using analytics and technology.
A recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati, Murray was a right-handed pitcher for the Bearcats from 2019-2022. He made three appearances out of the pen in 2022, tossing a scoreless frame versus Saint Joseph's. The Tyngsboro, Massachusetts native appeared in two games in 2021 and had three appearances in the shortened 2020 season. He made 17 appearances and one start as a freshman in 2019, recording 26 strikeouts through 36 innings of work. He finished that year 3-2 with a 4.75 ERA while being named to the American Athletic Conference's All-Academic Team.
Murray played high school ball at St. Mark's School, where he earned multiple All-League honors and also lettered in football. He also played for a Top-25 nationally ranked North East Baseball squad.
