ORLANDO, Fla. – Bryce Mortimer won the 200 breaststroke to lead Old Dominion University Swimming on the final night of the ASUN Championships.
Mortimer won the event with a time of 1:56.02, edging out Matheus Przewalla of Queens. Mortimer won the 200 breaststroke for the second-straight year at the ASUN Championships. Toni Sallaku came in 16th with a time of 2:03.02.
In the first event of the night in the 1650 freestyle, Sophia Kapla finished seventh with a time of 17:23.97. Gabriella Gonzalez finished in 16th with a time of 17:57.37.
In the men’s 1650 free, Cooper Beebe placed in 11th with a time of 15:52.17.
Zachary Redding added his third, third-place finish of the championship, this time in the 100 free with a time of 42.85. Jordan Davis finished in 15th with a time of 45.37.
A night after setting the ODU record in the 100 backstroke, Addison Elliott finished in seventh in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.20. Linnea Kallebo won the B-Final to place ninth with a time of 2:01.98. Kristilynn Mosley followed in 13th with a time of 2:04.29.
In the men’s 200 backstroke, Ben Schattenberg finished in 10th with a time of 1:48.79. Lucas Abd came in 12th in 1:49.30.
The ODU women’s 400 relay team of Bella Pachek, Arielle Grabowski, Lauren Masters and Mallory Mackay finished in a time of 3:31.16.
The men’s 400 free relay team of Redding, Davis, Robby Young and Jordan Smolsky set a new school record with a time of 2:55.85 to place third.
The ODU women’s team finished in seventh place for the championship, while the men’s team came in fifth.
