Davidson, N.C.- Old Dominion junior Zach Redding and senior Bryce Mortimer both won two events to lead Old Dominion swimming at Davidson on Saturday. The Monarch men fell to the Wildcats, 172-108, while the women lost 203-85.
In the opening event of the meet ODU took third in the 200 medley relay as Addie Elliott, Jadyn Whitt, Lauren Masters and Bella Pachek finished in 1:48.38
In the second event ODU finished with a first place finish in the men’s 200 medley relay as the team of Jordan Davis, Dawson Truong, Zachary Redding, and Robby Young finished in a time of 1:32.61.
Gabriella Gonzalez finished first in the 1000 free with a time of 10:41.92.
Sophia Kapla finished second in the 1000 free with a time of 10:46.79.
Grey Bremer took second in the men’s freestyle with a time of 1:42.96.
Addie Elliot finished first in the women’s 100 backstroke with a time of 58.17.
Ally Hilbrich finished third in the women’s 100 backstroke with a time of 59.06.
Jordan Davis finished third in the men’s 100 backstroke with a time of 53.31.
Jadyn Whitt and Adrienne Rinker finished one-two in the 100 breaststroke. Whitt earned a time of 1:06.09, while Rinker came in 1:06.30.
Mortimer, Truong, and Toni Sallaku finished one-two-three in the 100 breaststroke. Mortimer led with a time of 57.20, Truong came behind with 58.34, and Sallaku came third with 590.30.
Linnea Kallebo finished third in the women’s 200 butterfly with a time of 2:12.74.
Lauren Masters finished third in the women’s 50 free with a time of 25.16.
Redding finished first in the men’s free with a time of 20.61 and in the men’s 100 free with a time of 45.88.
Bella Pachek finished third in the women’s 100 free with a time of 54.47.
Kristi Mosley finished third in the women’s 200 backstroke with a time of 2:09.79.
Mortimer and Sallaku finished first and third in the men’s 200 breaststroke. Mortimer led with a time of 2:05.14 and Sallaku finished with a 2:10.65.
Gonzalez finished second in the women’s 500 free with a time of 5:15.94.
Bremer finished third in the men’s 500 free with a time of 4:40.18.
Truong finished second in the men’s 100 butterfly with a time of 51.14.
Mosley finished third in the women’s 200 IM with a time of 2:13.15.
Mortimer finished first in the men’s 200 IM with a time of 1:53.17.
Masters, Mosley, Whitt and Pachek finished third in the women’s 400 free relay with a time of 3:40.33.
In the last event ODU finished second-third in the 400 freestyle relay with the second place team including Young, Brice Bounds, Davis and Redding with a time of 3:08.48 and third place of Truong, Nick Martin, Bremer and Jordan Smolsky.
The Monarchs next compete at Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md Nov.20- Nov. 22 starting at 10 am.
