WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Old Dominion University men’s swimming team defeated American 139-66 in Washington D.C. on Friday evening while the women’s squad fell to the Eagles 141-66.
The women’s 200 medley relay team of Samantha Allred, Mary Dunworth, Angela Sicaja and Lauren Masters finished second with a time of 1:48.34.
The men’s 200 medley relay team of Gustaf Hansson, August Eriksson, Jamie Cleaver and Ryan Lincicum earned the win with a time of 1:32.35.
Sophia Kapla came in second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:49.54, while Grey Bremer won the 1000 free with a time of 9:44.59.
Mallory Mackay and Kristilynn Mosley finished second and third in the women’s 200 free with times of 1:58.66 and 1:59.85, respectively.
Ben Schattenberg won the men’s 200 free with a time of 1:43.69.
Dunworth finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 24.59.
Zachary Redding won the 50 free with a time of 21.04 and Bryce Mortimer came in second with a time of 21.62.
Kiersten Donnelly earned a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.56.
Cleaver won the 100 fly with a time of 50.17, while Dawson Truong came in second in a time of 51.22.
Lauren Masters finished second in the 100 free with a time of 54.02.
Redding notched his second win of the day with a time of 45.66 in the 100 freestyle.
Dunworth notched a win in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.12, while Hansson led the men’s 100 backstroke with a time of 50.90 and Schattenberg took second in 52.76.
Kapla earned another second-place finish with a time of 5:17.68 in the 500 free.
Bremer earned his second win with a time of 4:35.86 in the 500 free.
In the 100 breaststroke, Marian Cheramy earned a second-place spot in a time of 1:08.49.
Mortimer notched a win in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.30.
The 400 women’s freestyle relay team took of Jadyn Whitt, Kiersten Donnelly, Angela Sicaja and Bella Pachek took third in 3:43.65.
The men’s 400 free relay team of Cleaver, Lincicum, Mortimer and Redding earned the win with a time of 3:08.45.
