Men's and Women's Swimming Begins Championship Meets on Wednesday
NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University swimming takes part in its conference championships beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 19, as the women’s team competes in the Sun Belt Championship at the Rosen Aquatic and Fitness Center in Orlando, Florida, while the men’s team competes in the Atlantic Sun Championship held at the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Swimming Falls in 2025 Opener at Hampton Quad Meet
Old Dominion University swimming began the 2025 season in a quad dual meet at the Hampton Aquaplex against William & Mary, East Carolina, and Central Connecticut State. The ODU men fell to W&M, 143-119, while the women came up short against ECU, W&M and CCSU.
Swimming Completes WVU Invite
The ODU women’s team finished the WVU in fifth place, while the men’s squad came in fourth.
Hansson's Record Breaking Night Leads ODU at WVU Invite

Prior to the meet, ODU honored its 14 seniors: Marian Cheramy, Kiersten Donnelly, Mary Dunworth, Julia de Camargo Gusso, Angela Sicaja, Laila Webb, Sydney Welker, Kristina Zachary, Anthony Capizzi, Carson Doll, Gustaf Hansson, Ryan Lincicum, Owen Rolph and Johnathan Walden.
Swimming Tops Gardner-Webb in Record-Setting Day
NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Swimming team swept Gardner-Webb on Saturday, as the women’s team defeated Gardner-Webb 134-127 and the men were victorious, 168-94.
