"Today's regatta was great with results and mixed with how we handled the conditions. It is tough to go to a race where the conditions change throughout the race course. I am really happy that we were able to go and race a home race this fall. The regatta was hosted by a local club team Hampton Roads and provided an additional opportunity for our team, particularly the freshmen and novice group to get another race under their belt before we travel to the Head of the Occoquan this coming weekend," said head coach Brian Conley. "I think this home race has the potential to bring other college competition in future years. I am looking forward to help grow the regatta on the collegiate side in the coming years."
The Monarchs are back in action Nov. 5 when they will compete in the Head of the Occoquan Regatta.
