Meet Drake
Head coach Davidson Kozlowski is in the midst of his fifth season at the helm of Drake’s men’s tennis program with a 12-12 overall record. The Bulldogs are 9-2 when playing at home so far this season.
In the 2016 season, Kozlowski guided his young squad against one of the toughest schedules in program history, as they faced off against 17 nationally ranked teams. They finished the season ranked at No. 49 with a 17-12 record with their two most impressive wins coming against then-ranked No. 23 Minnesota and No. 26 Oregon. In his first three seasons as head coach, he directed Drake to three consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Doubles tandem Gillespie and Barny Thorold were nationally earlier in the season.
Looking Ahead for the Monarchs
After the Monarchs take on Drake in their last regular season road match, they will come back to the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center to host William & Mary on Sunday, April 15. This will mark Senior Day and conclude ODU’s regular season. Old Dominion will then travel to Houston, Texas to play in the Conference USA Tournament starting on April 20.
