NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 33 nationally ranked/No. 1 seed Old Dominion men’s tennis team (16-6) is set to play No. 8 seed UAB (12-9) in the Conference USA Tournament at on Friday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m. EST.
The Monarchs enter tournament action after finishing out the regular season with a 4-3 win over William & Mary.
The Tennis Monarchs have claimed victory in 10 of their last 11 matches, while outscoring their opponents 44-17 during that stretch. ODU is also riding a eight-match win-streak in which the Monarchs have outscored their opponents 34-12.

Meet UAB
Under the direction of head coach Derek Tarr, the Blazers experienced yet another winning regular season. In his 21st season leading UAB’s tennis program, Tarr has his team sitting with a 12-9 record entering conference tournament play. UAB has posted a perfect 7-0 record at home this season, an added another five wins on the road. The Blazers enter tournament play winners of their final regular season match, a 4-3 victory over South Alabama.
