NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 38 Old Dominion’s men’s tennis team (7-5) is scheduled to take on No. 24 Utah (14-1) at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center on Friday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. Admission for all is free.

Inside the Numbers for ODU
The Monarchs have an overall singles record of 46-25 and a doubles record of 18-16. Below is a recap of the success ODU has already had so far this season.

Meet No. 24 Utah
Utah Head Coach Roeland is currently in his fourth season in charge of the men’s tennis program. In the previous two years, the reigning ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year led his team to a 17-10 record in each season. This season, Utah has almost already met that win total. They currently sit at 14-1 with a national ranking of No. 24. Their only loss this season came at the hands of another nationally ranked team in No. 23 Harvard. Since that point, however, they have won their last nine matches. Their match with ODU is scheduled for this Friday at 1:00 p.m. EST.

Looking Ahead for the Monarchs
Following their match with No. 24 Utah, ODU will travel to Tampa, Fla. to take part in the Spring Break Tournament beginning on March 9. The Monarchs will then they face a conference foe in Middle Tennessee on March 16. That is the first in a stretch of five straight road matches for the Monarchs. During that stretch, ODU is scheduled to face two more C-USA opponents in FAU and Charlotte, respectively. Old Dominion will not return home until April 15, when they face William & Mary. That marks the last match at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center for the season.
