LADY MONARCH MOMENTS:
The Lady Monarchs wrap up the regular season on Thursday looking to sweep the season series against the William & Mary Tribe. Old Dominion defeated William & Mary, 66-48, back on January 22nd at Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg
Old Dominion will be the fourth seed at the upcoming 2009 CAA Tournament. The Lady Monarchs, who are 50-0 all-time in the tournament and winners of 17 straight conference crowns, will open up tournament action on Friday, March 13th at 2:30 p.m. against the winner of the #5/12 game.
Seniors Tiffany Green, Jen Nuzzo, and Jazzmin Walters along with managers will be playing their last regular season game at the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Wednesday. The three Lady Monarch seniors along with senior managers Eboni and Erica Davis will be honored following the game.
Old Dominion holds a 10-3 mark at home this season.
The seven CAA losses for the Lady Monarchs this season are the most for ODU in CAA. ODU suffered five losses in 1991-92, their first year in the league. That season, however, Old Dominion went on to capture the first of its NCAA record 17 straight CAA titles.

ABOUT WILLIAM & MARY:
The Tribe enter Wednesday's contest at 13-15 and 6-11 in the CAA in 10th in the conference standings. On Sunday, William & Mary snapped a three-game skidw with a 61-50 victory over Towson. The Tribe is led by junior forward Tiffany Benson at 11.6 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per contest. Benson joins Lady Monarch Tiffany Green as one of the CAA's all-time leader in blocked shots ranking third on the top ten list with 204 career rejections. Second on the stat sheet for the Tribe is CAA Player and Rookie of the Week Taysha Pye. Pye is averaging 8.8 points per game and 11.2 points against CAA competition. Last week, she poured in 30 points in a one-point, 72-73 loss to James Madison.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH WILLIAM & MARY:
Old Dominion leads the all-time series 47-3. The Tribe has not defeated the Lady Monarchs in 32 years with William & Mary's last victory over Old Dominion coming back in the 1975-76 season with an 89-53 win. Since then the Lady Monarchs have been winners of the last 45 contests.
LAST TIME VS. WILLIAM & MARY:
The Old Dominion women's basketball team picked up an 66-48 victory over William & Mary at Kaplan Arena back on January 22nd. After a hot three-point shooting in the first half by the Tribe, the Old Dominion defense clamped down limiting William & Mary to just four second half field goals, including just one in the paint. Senior Tiffany Green posted her fourth consecutive double-double and eighth of the season with a game-high 20 points along with 12 boards. The game also marked the return of junior Jessica Canady of the court after missing the last seven games. The Tribe's prowess from long range helped them take a 31-26 lead at the intermission. William & Mary hit seven three's accounting for 21 of the Tribe's 31 first half points. The Tribe's final 15 points of the opening stanza all came from downtown. The second half though was a different story as Old Dominion went on to outscore William & Mary 40-17. The Tribe shot a frosty 15 percent in half number two going just 4-of-28 from the field. The Tribe's Dani Kell hit her squad's first field goal of the second half at the 15:17 mark and Katy Oblinger put away William & Mary's second field goal on a long range ball to give her team a 39-36 edge with just under 14 minutes left. However, from there Old Dominion held the Tribe without a field goal for the next nine minutes. The Lady Monarchs defense clamped down on the Tribe's outside shooting and denied the ball in the paint as they outscored William & Mary 22-7 during the span. The Tribe's points all come from the line during the run.Joining Green in double figures were sophomore Jasmine Parker and Jazzmin Walters with 12 each and sophomore Sierra Little with 10. Walters also set a new career mark in rebounds as the 5-2 senior hauled in eight boards. Old Dominion ended the night outhauling William & Mary, 54-42, on the glass. Canady, who had missed the previous seven games with a thumb injury, returned to the hardwood to play 19 minutes, going 2-of-2 from the line along with five boards and a steal. The Tribe was led by Janine Aldridge with 15 with Kell contributing 12 in the loss.

The top four seeds are set regardless of any outcomes on Wednesday:
Drexel is #1, VCU is #2, James Madison is #3 and Old Dominion is #4.
If Drexel and VCU are tied for first at 15-2:
Drexel is the #1 seed and VCU is the #2 seed based on the Dragons' head-to-head win.
If VCU and James Madison are tied for second at 14-4:
VCU is the #2 seed and James Madison is the #3 seed based on the Rams' sweep of the season series.
If Old Dominion and UNC Wilmington are tied for fourth at 10-8:
Old Dominion is the #4 seed and UNC Wilmington is the #5 seed based on the Lady Monarch's sweep of the season series.
If UNCW, Hofstra and Towson are tied for fifth at 9-9:
UNC Wilmington is the #5 seed based on a 2-1 record against Hofstra/Towson; Hofstra is the #6 seed based on a 2-2 record against UNCW/Towson; Towson is the #7 seed based on the 1-2 record against UNCW/Hofstra.
