Celeste Hill is one of the most decorated players in Lady Monarch basketball history. She started the Lady Monarchs dominance of CAA Player of the Year honors as she earned Player of the Year honors in the Colonial Athletic Association three times and as a freshman, she was named Sun Belt Rookie of the Year.

While at Old Dominion, Celeste's teams compiled a 72-46 overall record, won three CAA conference championships. During her final two years, the Lady Monarchs were a perfect 28-0 in league play.Celeste ranks high in Old Dominion and CAA history, standing fifth in Old Dominion all-time scoring (2,112) and rebounding (1,124) and third in steals (327). She is also the first in the CAA in all-time scoring, scoring average in a season (20.5) and career scoring average (17.9). She was the first player in Old Dominion history to lead the team in scoring and rebounding all four years.

Besides her All-Conference accolades, She was named the CAA Most Valuable Player in 1994, Player of the Year in the State of Virginia, and earned Kodak District III All-American honors that same year.

As a freshman, Celeste ranked 19th nationally in field goal percentage at .589 and eighth nationally in field goal percentage at .616 as a senior. She performed the double-double 49 times in 118 career games and scored in double figures 107 times. She also performed a triple-double against VCU in the 1993-94 season, scoring 20 points with ten rebounds and twelve steals.

The Covington, Kentucky native came back to her alma mater for the 1998-99 season as an assistant coach after playing basketball overseas in Israel and Greece. She is now the head girl's basketball coach at Holmes High School in her hometown of Covington.

Hill graduated from ODU in 1994 with a degree in human services and counseling. Celeste was inducted into the ODU Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
