Tied the ODU single-game record with three homers in the C-USA Tournament semi-final win over Florida Atlantic ... In that game, he was 3-for-4 with six RBIs, three runs scored and a walk ... Recorded 24 multi-hit games and five, three-hit games ... Recorded four doubles and 13 RBIs in the season-opening four-game sweep against Norfolk State ... Notched his third, three-hit game of the year with a 3-for-4 day, with four RBIs a double and home run against Northeastern (3/6) ... Won Conference USA Freshman of the Year, becoming first ODU player to be named a league rookie of the year since Brett Harris was named CAA Rookie of the Year in 2009 ... Earned first-team All-C-USA ... Played in 54 games, starting 53 ... Batted .328 with 10 homers and an ODU freshman record 62 RBIs ... Finished second on the team with a .937 OPS ... Finished with team-highs with 19 doubles, .559 slugging percentage and hits with 75 ... Totaled 25 multi-hit games and five, three-hit games ... Hit first career homer against Norfolk State ... Went 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs in that game against NSU ... Was 3-for-6 with two runs and an RBI at FAU ... Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, five RBIs and a home run against Louisiana Tech.

PREP: A three-time All-League selection at Damien High School in California, earning First Team honors in 2016 and 2018 and Second Team in 2017 ... Helped lead Damien to a 2016 Baseline League title and the 2016 CIF semifinals ... Also played club ball for CBA Marruci ... Chose ODU because it was a good fit and provided the best opportunity to enhance his baseball career.

PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Lisha Garriola ... His brother, Frank, plays baseball at Hope International University ... Favorite pro teams are the Dodgers and Chargers and his favorite athlete is Josh Hamilton ... Enjoys EDM and rock music, especially Zeds Dead and the Kings of Leon ...
