NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women’s sailing will compete in the Tulane Women’s Team Race in New Orleans from April 4-5. The open sailing team will be in Ithaca, New York to compete in the Prosser Trophy hosted by Cornell.
ODU takes on College of Charleston, Stanford, and Tulane in the Tulane Women’s Team Race. The Monarchs will open against Stanford in Flight one, Charleston in Flight two, and Tulane in Flight three of Round one. There will be five total rounds of competition with ODU facing Tulane in the final race of the competition in Flight three of Round five.
Sophomore skipper Marina Conde will be paired with junior crew Molly Hanson and junior skipper Gianna Dewey is matched with freshman crew Mary Petra Humphrey. Freshman skipper Arabella Duer and junior crew Morgan Auth slots into ODU’s third boat.
The Prosser Trophy takes place from Saturday, April 4 through Sunday, April 5 and is the open team’s conference championship. Senior skipper Diogo Silva is paired with senior crew Lindsey Kaufman, sophomore skipper Pierce Brindley is matched with freshman crew Madison Bivins, and junior skipper Blake Goodwin will guide senior crew Cadence Goodnight. Serving as alternates will be freshman crew Helena Allocco and sophomore crew Caspian Collett.
