NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team heads to Hawaii to compete in the Diamond Head Classic starting on Thursday afternoon when they face TCU at 5:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
 
Fans can also listen to the game on Priority Auto Sports Radio 94.1 FM with Ted Alexander on the call starting at 4:30 p.m.


TOURNAMENT TEAMS
In ODU's side of the bracket is Nevada and Temple. An ODU win over TCU will put them in a 5:00 p.m. EST matchup with the Nevada-Temple winner on Friday. A loss will put them against the Nevada-Temple loser at 7:30 p.m. EST Friday.
The other side of the bracket consists of Georgia Tech vs. UMass and Hawaii vs. Portland.

This will be the second meeting between ODU and TCU with the Monarchs taking a 67-62 win at TCU on Nov. 25, 2004.
 
ABOUT ODU
The Monarchs are coming off an 84-69 loss on December 9 to then 18th-ranked JMU. Chaunce Jenkins was the leading scorer for ODU with 19 points, while Vasean Allette had 14 points and six rebounds, Devin Ceaser added 13 points off the bench and Tyrone Williams added 11 points and six rebounds.
 
Jenkins leads the team in scoring averaging 16.7 points per game, with Allette behind him (14.7 ppg) and Williams (11.8 ppg) rounding out the double figure scorers. Williams leads in rebounding at 6.6 rpg, while Allette and Dani Pounds are next at 4.8 rpg.
 
As a team, the Monarchs are scoring 69.4 ppg and allowing 74.4 ppg. From the floor they're hitting .429 (238-of-555) while opponents are hitting .438 (217-of-495). From 3-point range, ODU is hitting .335 (58-of-173) with opponents hitting .363 (81-of-223). At the foul line, ODU is hitting .684 (91-of-133) while opponents are at .705 (155-of-220). On the boards, the Monarchs are being outrebounded 35.0 to 36.6 per game.
 
ABOUT TCU
The Horned Frogs rallied from a 14-point first half deficit Saturday night to defeat Arizona State 79-59 in the USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas. Micah Peavy paced TCU (8-1) with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the third triple double in school history. Emanuel Miller was the leading scorer on the night with 18 points.
 
Miller leads TCU in scoring averaging (16.1 ppg), rebounds (5.7 rpg) and free throw percentage (.867). JaKobe Coles is next in scoring at 13.1 ppg, while Peavy follows him at 12.3 ppg and Jameer Nelson, Jr. rounds out the double figure scorers at 11.4 ppg.
 
As a team, TCU is averaging 87.4 ppg and allowing 66.2 ppg. The Horned Frogs are hitting .504 from the field and allowing opponents a .416 clip. From 3-point range, TCU is hitting .324 and allowing opponents a .325 mark. They're outrebounding opponents 39.3 to 32.0 per game.
