NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team will begin a stretch of six out of their next eight games on the road with the first pair starting Thursday night as they visit South Alabama for an 8 p.m. EST tip. At 4 p.m. Saturday, they'll take on Coastal Carolina in a rematch of a one-point loss to the Chanticleers just two weeks ago.
The matchup with South Alabama is the 23rd all-time meeting with Old Dominion holding a slight 12-10 lead. This is the first meeting since the 2004-05 season when Old Dominion won 63-55 in Norfolk. South Alabama is the only remaining team in the Sun Belt Conference from when ODU competed in the Sun Belt 30 years ago.
