ELKHART, Ind. – Old Dominion University swimming completed its first day at the National Invitational Championship (NIC) on Thursday night.
The team of Laila Webb, Mary Dunworth, Peyton Turner and Tara Enneking placed 25th in the women's 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.87.
The men's 200 freestyle relay team of Liam Redman, Russell Hronek, Ryan Lincicum and Noah Wilkins finished 16th with a time of 1:22.59.
In the men's 50 butterfly Noah Wilkins and Liam Redman placed 18th and 19th, respectively. Wilkins took eighth in the B-Final with a time of 22.29 and Redman was ninth in the B-Final with a time of 22.43. Oskar Iwarsson added a 34th place with a time of 22.55. Russell Hronek placed 46th with a time of 23.03.
Wilkins added a 21st position in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.40, while Redman took 39th with a time of 20.72.
In the men's 500 freestyle, Carson Doll placed 44th with a time of 4:39.81.
In the women's 50 backstroke, Enneking took 29th with a time of 26.49, while Dunworth tied for 39th with a time of 26.85.
Enneking added a 39th place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 29.90.
Gustaf Hansson placed eighth in the B-Final to finish 18th in the men's 50 backstroke with a time of 22.95. Hugo Eriksson added a 33rd with a time of 23.72. Jacob Cobb took 43rd in 24.23.
In the 200 IM, Martina Ciriesi placed 48th in the women's 200 IM with a time of 2:06.70.
Eriksson added a 35th position in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:53.42. Cobb tied for 43rd with a time of 1:56.44.
In the final events of the night, ODU took 28th in the 400 medley relay. The team of Enneking, Marian Cheramy, Ciriesi and Webb had a time of 3:50.71.
