ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Old Dominion University women's sailing sits in 11th place out of 18 teams after day one of the 2021 College Sailing Women's Nationals in Annapolis.
Race day began with medium winds from the south east that got lighter from the south throughout the day. The day featured close competition with many races decided by just a few feet. Both A and B divisions completed 10 races.
The Division A boat of Bridget Groble and Abigail Tutt is in 10th place after day one competition. The duo had three top-five finishes, including a third place in the fourth race of the day.
The Division B team of Hannah Pokorny and Emily Harrison placed 12th on day one. They also collected three top-five races, including a pair of third place finishes.
Boston College is in first place after day one with College of Charleston in second and Tulane in third.
Day two begins tomorrow at 10 a.m.
