NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team (11-5, 7-3) will travel to Birmingham, Ala. for a pair of road games against UAB (16-4, 9-3) at Bartow Arena. The first of the two-game series will take place on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7:30 p.m. EST, while the second contest will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 4:00 p.m. EST. ODU enters the weekend in second place in the C-USA East Division, while UAB currently sits in second place of the league's West Division. The top two teams from each division receive a First Round bye in the 2021 Conference USA Tournament, which will be held in Frisco Texas.

TV/Stream:
Both games will be televised on Stadium, as well as streamed on www.WatchStadium.com (please see above links for direct URL to each stream). On Cox Cable in the Hampton Roads viewing area, both games will be picked up on Channel 111 (WTVZ-2). Radio:
Both games will also air across the ODU Sports Radio Network, with Ted Alexander and Dave Twardzik's live pregame show beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
 
All-Time Series:
Friday night will mark the 37th all-time meeting between these two programs, as UAB leads the series, 22-14. Old Dominion has won five of the last seven meetings. The two teams split last season, as each team won on their home court (W, 58-52 / L, 72-63). The Monarchs are 3-15 all-time when playing the Blazers in Birmingham. ODU and UAB first met during the 1982-83 season.
 
Monarchs:
Old Dominion has won nine of its last 12 contests and is riding a two-game win streak into Birmingham on Friday.
 
ODU is most recently coming off a pair of victories over Charlotte. Last Saturday against the 49ers, Xavier Green recorded his 1,000th career point.
 
So far this season the Monarchs are 8-0 in games decided by nine points or less. Last season, ODU went 2-8 in games decided by four points or less.
 
Old Dominion has been led by Malik Curry (15.7 ppg), Kalu Ezikpe (11.2 ppg), Austin Trice (10.6 ppg) and A.J. Oliver II (10.1 ppg) this season.

The Blazers enter Friday night's contest with a 16-4 overall record and a 9-3 mark in league play. UAB is led by Andy Kennedy, who is in the midst of his first season at the helm in Birmingham. A two-time SEC Coach of the Year and winningest coach in the University of Mississippi history, Kennedy most recently coached at Ole Miss from 2006-2018, before spending the last two years as a commentator for ESPN and the SEC Network.
 
UAB is most recently coming off a pair of losses against LA Tech in Ruston, La. The Blazers are 13-1 when playing on their home hardwood for the 2020-21 season.
 
So far this season, UAB has been led by Michael Ertel (12.7 ppg), Tavin Lovan (12.7 ppg) Jalen Benjamin (11.1 ppg) and Quan Jackson (10.3 ppg).
