NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men's basketball team returns to action after its exam break by visiting the Richmond Spiders for a 4p.m. tip on Sunday inside the Robins Center.
 
The game will be viewable on ESPN+ as well as MASN Network.   Matt Hatfield and Dave Twardzik will have the call of the game on the ODU Sports Radio Network starting at 3:30 p.m.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. RICHMOND
Old Dominion leads the all-time series 33-27.  These teams have played every year except one going back to 2005-06.  Richmond won the last meeting in Norfolk 62-59 in the 2019-20 season.
 
ABOUT ODU
ODU (5-6) returns to action after exam break to tangle with the Spiders.  The Monarchs lost their last game to VCU 75-66 on December 11.
 
Against the Rams, Austin Trice was the leading scorer with team-highs of 16 points and eight rebounds off the bench.  C.J. Keyser added 14 points, Kalu Ezikpe had 11 and Mekhi Long chipping in 10 points.
 
The Monarchs are averaging 63.2 points per game and allowing 64.1 through the first 11 games.  Keyser leads ODU in scoring averaging 13.3 points per contest, while Ezikpe is averaging 11.8 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game.  Jaylin Hunter is just behind at 9.6 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game, while Long is averaging 8.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.
 
ABOUT RICHMOND
The Spiders are 7-4 after defeating N.C. State at the Basketball Hall of Fame Shootout in Charlotte, N.C. Friday night.
 
Richmond has three starters in double figures topped by Tyler Burton averaging 18.2 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds per game.  Grant Golden is next at 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while Jacob Gilyard is averaging 12.1 points, 5.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game.  Gilyard is the NCAA All-Time steals leader with 393.

Men's basketball season tickets cost $215 and include tickets for the Monarchs' exhibition on Nov. 6 and all 14 of ODU's regular season home games. Women's basketball season tickets cost $115 for adults and $250 for courtside seating and include tickets to all 15 of the Monarchs' home games. Special pricing is available for senior citizens, ODU faculty and staff, and members of the military. Call the ODU Ticket Office at 757-683-4444 to receive special pricing. New this season, fans can select season tickets for men's games in section 108 for the promotional price of $110. For women's games, fans can select season tickets from sections 107, 108, and 109 for the price of $75.
 
Season tickets represent a savings of more than $50 for men's games and $45 for women's games, over single-game tickets. Single-game ticket prices start at $18 for men's games and $11 for women's games, with special pricing for senior citizens, ODU faculty and staff, youth (12 and younger) and members of the military. ODU students can register for student tickets for free to any ODU men's and women's home game.
