ATLANTA, Ga. – Old Dominion sophomore Tara Enneking swam to a seventh place finish in the 100 breaststroke, and Alizee Brossier placed sixth in the 200 backstroke to lead the Monarchs on the final day of the Conference USA Women's Swimming Championships in Atlanta.
"I am so proud of this team and all of the challenges we have overcome together to get to this point," ODU head coach Jess Livsey said. "We had a very successful weekend and are looking forward to hosting William & Mary for one final meet of the season, and our senior recognition, on March 13."
In the 200 backstroke, Alizee Brossier placed sixth with a time of 2:00.64, Summer Sampson placed 11th with a time of 2:00.82, and Peri Farling was 12th with a time of 2:03.03.
In the 100 breaststroke, Tara Enneking placed seventh with a time of 2:18.83. Paige Romine added a 13thplace spot in the race with a time of 2:21.16, while Katie Ellett finished 19th in a time of 2:27.52.
Brynn Jewell led off the meet for the Monarchs with a ninth place finish in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:41.38. The Monarchs had five-consecutive finishers beginning in 13th with Becca Mayo in a time of 17:49.74, Miranda Byrne was 14th with a time of 17:51.02, Madison Sitton was 15th in 17:56.33, Brigid Donnelly was 16th in 18:05.15 and Kinsey Rushevics was 17th with a time of 18:09.70.
Nikia Campbell placed 23rd in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.15.
Jewell placed 24th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:12.50.
ODU placed sixth overall in the championships, while FIU won the championship.
