NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Baseball broke open a scoreless game with a six-run fifth inning, while Ryne Moore pitched seven solid innings as ODU won 11-1 to complete the three-game sweep of Rutgers on Sunday at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.

Old Dominion's (12-2) big fifth inning started with singles from Jared Hancock and Andrea Dalatri, while Hancock scored on a Zach Coldsnow RBI fielder's choice. Ryan Teschko delivered a two-run single and after Tommy Bell reached on an error to load the bases, Matt Coutney cleared them with a double for the 6-0 cushion, and that was all Moore would need.

Rutgers (5-9) scored a run in the sixth but the Monarchs scored three in the seventh on a Coutney RBI single, a Dalatri run scoring double and Dominick Claxton sacrifice fly.

Kyle Battle closed out the scoring with a two-run homer in the eighth for the final 11-1 score.

Moore pitched seven innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits, one walk and striking out four to earn his second win of the season. Geo Rivera and Joey DeChiaro pitched scoreless innings to close out the ODU sweep.

Coutney led ODU offensively going 2-for-4 with four RBIs, while Dengler, Hancock and Dalatri each had two hits.
