NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University sailing recorded a pair of top-five finishes this weekend at the ODU Women's Interconference and the Georgetown Team Race.
The Monarchs finished fifth in the interconference regatta behinf a fifth place A Division finish from Hannah Pokorny, Julia Williams-Portland and Abigail Tutt, and a fourth place finish from the B Division from Colleen Baumann, Makalynne Dyer and Katherine Barton. The A Division team featured four top-five finishes, including one race win, while the B Division squad had a pair of top-five places.
At the Georgetown Team Race, ODU placed fourth, with a 5-10 team race record. Skippers for the Monarchs were Dreugh Phillips, George White, Parker Purrington and Bridget Groble, and crew were Emily Harrison, Beau Seibel and Raymond Domena. ODU delivered a pair of wins over Christopher Newport and Fordham, and defeated Cornell in the final round.
