WILMINGTON, N.C. - Old Dominion University women's swimming and diving defeated UNCW 169.5-130.5 on Saturday in Wilmington. The men's team was missing three of its top point scorers, and fell 226.6-71.5.
The Monarchs earned their first win of the day in the 400 medley relay as Jacklyn VandePoel, Tara Enneking, Rylee Moss and Summer Miln won in a time of 3:55.26.
ODU picked up its first individual win in the 1000 freestyle, as Miranda Byrne won in a time of 10:42.17.
VandePoel added another win for the Monarchs, this a time of 59.47 in the 100 backstroke.
ODU took the top three in the 100 breaststroke, as Enneking won in a time of 1:05.35, while Paige Romine was second and Gabby Tosi took third.
Rylee Moss continued the winning ways with a win in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:08.82.
VandePoel added the 200 backstroke to her list of wins in a time of 2:05.44.
Enneking also won the200 breaststroke, with Romine and Katie Ellett taking second and third.
Jacqueline Tinneny got in on the win parade with a win in the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:13.59.
For the men, Filip Svedberg edged out Connor Forsythe of UNCW by .05, with a time of 50.30, to win the 100 butterfly.
Tinneny capped her day with a win in the 400 IM to earn a time of 4:34.11
