BRONX, N.Y. - Old Dominion University sailing finished in sixth place to qualify for the Women's National Championships this weekend at the MAISA Spring Women's Dinghy Championships. ODU also finished 11th at the Admiral's Cup over the weekend.

The top nine teams qualified for the national championships at the MAISA Championships, as ODU took sixth 10 points in front of seventh place Georgetown. The Division A squad of Olivia Windemuller, Julia Williams-Portland and Emily Harrison finished in third place in the division. They finished in the top-10 in all 16 races, including three race wins.

The Division B team of Bridget Groble, Breanna Schultz and Abigail Tutt took seventh, with 14 top-10 finishes.

They will participate in the Women's National Championships in Newport, Rhode Island, from May 21-24.

ODU finished 11th at the Admiral's Cup. The Division A team of Jack Elkin, Gavin Burkhart and John Glenn finished in 13th place. They had seven top-10 finishes.

The Division B team of Dreugh Phillips and Makalynne Dyer took seventh in the division. The duo had 10, top-10 placed and a pair of race wins.
