NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football practiced for the sixth time this spring and had its first scrimmage of the spring on Saturday afternoon.
Along with the scrimmage ODU got a lot of special teams work in, including punt, punt return and the PAT/field goal unit. Nick Rice kicked field goals of 47 and 50-yards on the day.

- The defense was stout early causing five-straight three and outs to start the game
- Messiah deWeaver connected with Cornell Hendrick for a 21-yard touchdown pass for the first score of the game
- Jordan Young had four tackles for loss on the day for the defense
- Estefano Feliciano and Cameron Washington each had two tackles for loss
- The biggest play of the day was a 75-yard pass from Jonah Fitzgerald to Aaron Moore down the right sideline
- Fitzgerald hit Marcus Joyner for an 11-yard touchdown catch
- Later Fitzgerald found AC White down the seam for a 30-yard completion
- Keion White, Prince Ajegwu and Estefano Feliciano secured sacks on the day
