NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (15-5) pulled out a 4-3 victory of the College of Charleston on Sunday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.

“This was another nail-biter and we are fortunate that we got the better end of it today,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “The doubles point was huge, Jacob and Michael fought back after being down 2-5 with two breaks was obviously huge. It was great to win our last home match of the year. We are now 5-0 after losing a match, so not losing back-to-back all season shows me the resiliency we have on this team. But it’s also true that we need to improve a lot. We have two more regular season matches left and hope to get some momentum before the post-season.”

Old Dominion will close out the regular season on the road. First on Friday, April 14, the Monarchs will travel to UNCW for a 1:00 p.m. clash in Wilmington, N.C. ODU will play its regular season finale on Sunday, April 16, when they will square-off against William & Mary at 1:00 p.m. in Williamsburg, Va.
