ATHENS, Ga. - For the first time in school history the Old Dominion University men's swimming and diving team will compete in the Coastel Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Championships at the University of Georgia starting on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

The championships start Wednesday evening with the diving and relay events.  The individual events start on Thursday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. and continue through Saturday through Saturday night.

ODU is led by senior Reed Mathews, who has the league's top time entering the championships in both the 100 and 200 fly. He also has the seventh best time in the 200 IM.

Junior Jacob Zeidler ranks in the top 10 in several categories, including the third best time in the 50 free, fifth in the 100 free, second in the 100 breaststroke and ninth in the 200 breaststroke.

Joining Zeidler in the rankins of the 100 free are Vitor Sa, who sits in eighth and Graham Thatcher, who has the ninth best time in the event.

Anton Mikaelsson has the eighth best time in the 200 free while Lucas Cortini Oliveira has the 10th best time in the 1000 free while Thomas Hall ranks ninth in the 1650 free.

Senior Chris Prewitt ranks seventh in the 200 fly whiile freshman Danny Welborn is sixth in the 200 IM. In the 400 IM, Prewitt is fifth while Welborn is right behind with the sixth best time.

In diving, Danny Rabe and Cory Moreno are in the top-7 in both the 1 and 3-meter dives.
