KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Old Dominion University swimming and diving competed in day one of the Conference USA Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday.
The men's squad won the 200 medley relay team of Donovan Pope, Jacob Zeidler, Reed Mathews and Graham Thatcher finished in a time of 1:29.35 to defeat Florida Atlantic by less than a second and Western Kentucky, who was disqualified.
The Lady Monarchs took sixth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:42.78.
The women's squad finished seventh in the 800 free relay as Lucia Delcourt, Stephanie Norris, Yesim Giresunlu and Savannah Bowers ended in 7:28.72.
The men's 800 free relay team of Anton Mikaelsson, Carter Watson, Reed Mathews and Vitor Sa finished second in a time of 6:35.06.
The meet will continue tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m.
