EXHIBITION GAMES
The Monarchs won both exhibitions, defeating Mount Olive, 102-65 and Virginia State, 95-51. The Monarchs shot .661 from the floor against Mount Olive as thetrio of Donte Hill, Aaron Bacote and Dimitri Batten combined for 59 points and 23-28 from the field. ODU also outrebounded Mount Olive, 51-32.In the win over VSU, six Monarchs scored in double-figures led by Aaron Bacote and Dimitri Batten with 17 each. The Monarchs shot .574 from the floor.
FOOD DONATION
There will be a food drive in conjuction with the Governor's Holiday Hoops Classic on Dec 22nd in Richmond where ODU will play Virginia. There will be a friendly competition to see who can contribute the most food between now and Dec. 15th. The following events will be promoted as opportunities to donate to the food drive.
The Liberty Tax Classic - $3 discount at the door with a food donation, (or provide the group rate) for any of the three days
Wrestling match vs. Wisconsin -$2 discount - or $4 admission with donation
ODU vs. Cal - women's bball - Nov. 30 - group discount admission of $5 with donation
ODU-VCU game on Dec. 7 - no discounts, no incentives.
All food donations during the Liberty Tax Classic games next weekend should be directed to the Raisin Canes Guest Services area on the concourse of the Constant Center. Fans can receive a $3 discount on tickets purchased to these three games. They will need to inform the ticket seller that they have a food donation in order to get the discount.
