CAREER McEwen averaged 11.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for head coach Jerry Quinn and the undefeated (13-0) St. Thomas Moore Prep in Oakdale, CT. In Australia he played for the 2008-09 CAS Champions and in 2009, for the National runners-up NSW Metro.
McEwen, who grew up in New Zealand was a member of the New South Wales Institute of Sport before coming over to the US to play at St. Thomas Moore. Awarded the Academic award for Society and Culture in 2010.

He fits our profile of a very good student with a lot of potential and also fits in with our recruiting group and young nucleus very well. Stuart is a fine addition to our program with the opportunity to red-shirt, practice with the current team and participate in our foreign tour next summer should facilitate he and other young players for next season."
