NORFOLK, VA-- A total of ten Old Dominion University student-athletes are projected to graduate during commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
The fall graduates include All-American and CAA Defensive Football Player of the Year Ronnie Cameron who will receive Master's degree in Business Administration, and earning undergraduate degrees CAA Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year and All-Region selection Stephanie Kratzer, and All-CAA goalkeeper and team captain Sarah Geary from women's lacrosse.
"While many are aware of the remarkable fall season our athletic teams at ODU enjoyed, few realize the impressive academic progress being made by all of our ODU student-athletes - highlighted by 10 who will earn their ODU degrees this Saturday. What impresses me most about these 10 student-athletes is the caliber of their academic accomplishments and the impressive degrees each will receive as they exit ODU. Degrees range from biochemistry to an MBA, which illustrates that ODU athletes are challenging themselves as much in the classroom as they are challenged on the fields of competition. And they are equally skilled at handling the academic rigors as they are the competitive contests. " - Dr. Wood Selig, Director of Athletics. The list of December graduates is as follows:
