NORFOLK, Va. -- For the second time in seven days, the Monarchs faced the Temple Owls and won in a 6-1 final. Junior Tobias Fanselow remained unbeaten in No. 1 singles this season, scoring a 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 win over Filip Rams.
With the win, Fanselow improves to 13-0 in duals this season. He also paired with Benjamin Chomette at No. 1 doubles for the win over Filip and Kacper Rams, 8-2. Chomette also got a win at No. 2 singles in comeback fashion after dropping the first set. He defeated Dmitry Vizhunov 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Yakov Diskin, Krzysztof Muzalewski and Fahoum Fahoum also earned singles wins for the Monarchs en route to the 6-1 team victory. Muzalewski and Diskin also teamed up for the No. 2 doubles win to seal the doubles point.
ODU returns to action tomorrow for the first CAA match of the season, as they take on William & Mary, coming off an upset of nationally ranked VCU.
