FARMVILLE, VA--John Walker pitched a complete game, scattering seven hits with five strikeouts to lead the Longwood Lancers (3-3) to a 8-2 victory over Old Dominion (2-4).
Josh Wright knocked in a run for the Monarchs, driving in Cameron Scott in the second inning. Brett Harris also scored in the inning on a Longwood throwing error.
Max Most, Jake McAloose, Donnie Corsner, Brett Harris, Cameron Scott, Josh Wright and EdgarHernandez each had one hit for the Monarchs.
Longwood was led by Casey Havers with three hits, Phil Cerreto with two RBI and designated hitter Bobby Newman with three RBI.
The Monarchs return to action this weekend for a four-game series with the Hawks of Saint Joseph's beginning Friday at 3 p.m.
