LADY MONARCH MOMENTS:
The Lady Monarchs have just five games left on the schedule including this week's road trip to Hofstra for a noon tip on Thursday and a trip up to Northern Virginia to close out the season series with George Mason on Sunday.

Old Dominion returned to win column last Sunday afternoon with 70-55 victory over Delaware in its annual HOOPS FOR A CURE game. Senior Jen Nuzzo shot a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor, including 2-of-2 from downtown, as well as 2-of-2 from the line to capture a career-high 18 points. The senior point guard also added four assists and three steals in the victory.

Senior Tiffany Green has posted double figures in last six straight contest and 10 of the last 11 games. Green has netted double figures in all but three contests this season, including 12 against the Blue Hens on Sunday.

With her eight rebounds against Delaware, senior Tiffany Green moved into ninth on the all-time Lady Monarch rebounding list. Green now has 953 career boards surpassing former Lady Monarch Monique Coker (2000-2004) for the ninth spot on the list.

The four losses for the Lady Monarchs in CAA action this season are the most for ODU in CAA action since suffering five losses in 1991-92, their first year in the league. That season, however, Old Dominion went on to capture the first of its NCAA record 17 straight CAA titles.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH HOFSTRA:
Hofstra enters Thursday's contest sporting a 14-10 overall mark and 7-3 record in the CAA. The Pride has orchestrated one of the best turnarounds in Division I women's basketball improving from just five wins a season ago to 14 total wins the season. The Pride will be looking to snap a two-game skid after falling 50-62 at James Madison last Thursday and suffering a 62-72 setback at UNC-Wilmington Sunday afternoon. Hofstra has two members of its squad averaging double figures in Jess Fuller at 12.1 points per game, shooting at a 59 percent clip, and Nicole Capurso at 10.8 points per contest. Capurso has missed the last two games. Fuller meanwhile also leads her squad on the glass at 7.6 boards per game.

LAST TIME VS. HOFSTRA:
Seniors T.J. Jordan, Megan Pym,and Shahida Williams ended the 2007-08 regular season on a high note as the No. 16/13 Old Dominion women's basketball team captured a 91-71 victory over Hofstra back on March 6th at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. It was the lone meeting between the two squads. Old Dominion's Williams was just one point shy of tying her career mark and ended the night with 18 points as one of four Lady Monarchs in double figures. Junior Tiffany Green netted 16 in the victory, while sophomore Jessica Canady added in 15, and rookie Shadasia Green tied her season mark with 10. Hofstra's Candice Bellocchio led all scorers with a career-high 21 points. Nine of her points came from the charity stripe where she went 9-of-10. Linn Quamme came off the Pride bench to net 15. The Lady Monarchs, who were looking to return to the win column following last Sunday's loss to James Madison, never allowed the Pride a lead in the game. With the score tied at 6-6 with 14:07 in the first half, Old Dominion proceeded to take 11-0 run to take over the lead for good. At half, the Lady Monarch held a 44-31 advantage. The Pride would only be able to cut its deficit down to seven in the second half. Out of halftime, Bellocchio hit back-to-back three's as Hofstra trailed 44-37 with 19:07 left in the game. However over the next four minutes, Old Dominion would hold Hofstra scoreless while the Lady Monarchs racked up 10 points to lead by double figures the rest of the way. A Canady lay-up with 2:43 to go gave Old Dominion its largest lead of the game, a 23-point 87-64 edge.
