NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University celebrates the 30th anniversary of the 1975 men's basketball team Saturday at halftime of the ODU-SouthAlabama game, as part of the homecoming weekend.
The Monarchs, coached by Sonny Allen compiled a 25-6 record, defeatingthe University of New Orleans, 76-74 in the title game held at TheUniversity of Evansville.
Team Members: Rick Tackaberry, Tommy Street, Jay Roundtree, Wilson Washington, Gray Eubank, Joey Caruthers, Wendell Morrison, Dave Moyer, Oliver Purnell, Leon Hylton, Jeff Furhmann, Joey O'Brien. The coaching staff: Sonny Allen, Charlie Woollum, and Ed Hall.
