Amy Lynch is in her third year as an Athletic Academic Advisor at Old Dominion University and fourth year working in the Athletics department here at ODU. She serves as the academic advisor for men’s basketball, baseball and men’s and women’s tennis. In this role she supports the student athletes with their academic and personal development, tracking and coordinating academic progress to make sure that all academic expectations are met.
In 2019, Lynch assumed the role of the Community Engagement Coordinator Position for ODU Athletics. She works with student-athletes to plan, track and coordinate all community outreach opportunities within athletics.
Prior to coming to ODU, Amy served as the Director of Athletics at Saint Patrick Catholic School for 10 years. She also taught elementary Health and Physical Education there from 2009-2017.
Amy is a 1996 graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a B.S. in biology where she played field hockey from 1992-1996 and played in the Division III 1993 National Championship Game.
