Gerren Tomlin Season 2022

2022 (FR): Her freshman season saw her make three starts in seven matches while appearing in 17 sets … Her season totals included 31 kills, two assists, five service aces, 21 digs, three blocks and 37.5 points … Made her collegiate debut against Utah Tech on Aug. 26 at the Northern Arizona Invitational, scoring two kills in as many sets … On Aug. 27 versus Northern Arizona, she finished with eight kills and two digs through three sets played … Had her best outing of the season in a Sept. 2 win over Coppin State. She turned in season highs of 12 kills and five service aces to go along with eight digs, one assist and one block.

Prep: Won a state championship with the Davidson Day School as a sophomore in 2019. She earned All-Conference All-State nods that year after tallying 185 kills with 193 digs ... As a junior in 2020, she averaged 5.8 kills per set (239 kills through 41 sets) en route to Foothills Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player, All-Conference and All-State accolades. Tomlin added Charlotte Observer Player of the Week honors ... Missed time as a senior, but still logged 266 kills across 51 sets (5.2 per set) and led Davidson Day to the state title game. She once again received both All-State and All-Conference accolades ... Began her high school career at West Iredell High School, where she played on the varsity team as a freshman and was a Third Team All-County selection.

Personal: Daughter of Tashika Tomlin and Arthur Bellamy ... Majoring in speech pathology/audiology with plans to become a speech pathologist.
