Charles Owens is in his first season as director of player personnel at Old Dominion.
Owens comes to ODU after spending the last three seasons at the University of Maryland as a recruiting analyst.
Prior to joining Maryland, he spent the 2016 season as a graduate assistant coach, assisting with the defensive line, at Hampton.
A three-year starter at defensive tackle for Hampton, Owens was fourth on the Pirates with 49 tackles as a senior in 2015 and third on the squad with 9.5 tackles for loss. He graduated with a degree in sport management.
