2016: Earned third-straight CoSIDA Academic All-District honor ... Was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team for the third-straight year ... Played in all 13 games, starting three games on the offensive line, two at left guard, and one at right guard ... He started 13 games in his career.

2015: CoSIDA Academic All-District ... Conference USA All-Academic Team ... Played in all 12 games, starting two while also playing on special teams ... Started one game at center and one at left guard ... Has earned Dean's List accolades all seven semesters. Earned C-USA Commisioner's Academic Medal. C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2014: Played in all 12 games, starting eight on the offensive line ... Started seven games at right guard and one at left guard ... Named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team ... Earned Conference USA All-Academic honors with a 3.97 GPA ... Graduated in December with a degree in mathematics and will pursue a second undergraduate degree in finance ... Has earned Dean's List all five semesters ... Played on an offensive line that helped ODU average 441.9 yards per game and 149.4 rushing yards per game ... Made Dean's List in the fall of 2014.

2013: Versatile offensive lineman appeared in six games ... Played guard and center for the Monarchs.

High School: Played offensive line at Princess Anne High School for Coach Ray Gatlin ... Second Team All-Beach District as a senior in 2011 ... Honorable Mention All-Beach District as a junior in 2010 ... Named Princess Anne’s Football MVP following his senior campaign. 

Personal: Son of Barry and Cindy Compton ... Has one brother, Garrett ... Earned his undergraduate degree in mathematics in two and a half years ... Currently taking classes for his master's degree in business.
