2012:
Finished the year with 24 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks ... Played in 11 games making four starts. Had season-high six tackles and career-best 2.5 sacks in second round playoff win over Coastal Carolina ... Recorded four tackles in both the Hampton and Villanova games ... Recorded his first career sack and forced fumble in the win at Richmond.

2011:
Appeared in all 10 games missing the final three games of the season with an arm injury...Switched from safety to linebacker in 2011 making 46 tackles (26 solo, 20 assisted)...Had a career-high 12 stops (8 solo, 4 assisted) against #20 UMass in week five giving ODU not only its first ever CAA victory, but its first win over a ranked opponent...Had six tackles (4 solo, 2 assisted) in the Monarchs' CAA debut at Delaware in week four...Recorded four tackles in games with Campbell in week one, Hampton in week three, at Rhode Island in week six, #10 James Madison in week nine, and Richmond in week 10...

2010:
Appeared in all 11 games at safety and on special teams...Made the move from offense to safety the previous spring...Had 21 tackles (5 solo, 16 assisted) including a season-high five against #12/13 William & Mary...Blocked a punt, ODU's first blocked punt in history, at Monmouth...Registered a fumble recovery against future CAA opponent Georgia State...Also posted one QB hurry against VMI...

2009:
Appeared in all 11 games...Played at wide receiver during the fall before making the switch to safety in the spring...Made six receptions for 38 yards...Posted a 13-yard catch at Fordham for his longest reception of the year...Also had a pair of eight-yard receptions at Savannah State and against N.C. Central...

HIGH SCHOOL:
Lettered in both football and track for the Chiefs...Coached by Jeff McGowan and Clark Harrell....Was captain of the football team and the track team...Qualified for the state meet in the 100-meter dash.

PERSONAL:
Born February 26, 1990... Son of Sadiq and Cindi Arain... Majoring in sports management.
