NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football stays on the road for its second straight game as they travel to App State on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and broadcast on ESPN Radio 94.1.
• ODU is coming off a 42-10 loss at Georgia State.
• App State had a bye last week, but fell at NC State the week before, 41-31.
• Quarterback Quinn Henicle returned to the starting lineup after missing the JMU game. He completed 8-of-15 passes for 49 yards. He also rushed for 11 yards.
• Devin Roche rushed for 38 yards on nine carries. He was responsible for ODU’s only touchdown, a 78-yard punt return score. It was ODU’s first punt return touchdown since 2018, and the longest punt return in ODU history.
• Linebacker Jackson Forrest had a game-high eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Climbing the Ranks
Running back Devin Roche passed Taylor Heinicke for seventh on the ODU career rushing charts against Georgia State. Roche is now going after another quarterback, Thomas DeMarco. Roche is 120 yards from passing DeMarco for sixth.

Roche Finally Takes One Home
Devin Roche has been close several times over the last year and a half from returning a punt for a touchdown. He had three returns of 40+ yards in that span and finally broke for a 78-yard return at Georgia State.
It was the longest punt return in ODU history and the first punt return for a touchdown since Isaiah Harper returned one 74-yards for a touchdown in 2018 against VMI.
