NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s basketball head coach Mike Jones has added seven transfers to round out the Monarchs’ 2026-27 roster. The fourth newcomer joining ODU is Zamoku Weluche-Ume, a 6-foot 8-inch forward who spent this past season at North Carolina A&T.

“Zam comes to us as a proven scorer and rebounder at the mid major level. He is strong, smart and tough - he will add a level of physicality that our team needs. At almost 6-foot 9-inches, he gives us positional size at the wing and forward positions. We identified Zam as someone that we felt we needed to take a huge step in Sun Belt conference play and we are so happy to have him join our family,” said Jones.
