SARASOTA, Fla. – For the second-straight season, Old Dominion’s Sophia Kapla was the Monarchs’ top finisher at the College National Open Water Championships held in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday.
Kapla dropped three minutes off her time from a season ago to finish in 41st with a time of 1:01:02. Linnea Kallebo finished in 45th with a time of 1:01:08.7. Anna Eberle followed by coming in 57th with a time of 1:02:47.3 and Gabriella Gonzalez came in 83rd with a time of 1:04:58.5.
Grey Bremer led the men’s squad with a 53rd place in a time of 58:40.1. Ian Noffsinger followed with a 59th place spot with a time of 59:06.4. Evan Vinarov finished in 77th with a time of 1:02:24.1, while Bryant Julian came in 79th with a time of 1:03.23.1. Nicholas Martin rounded out the group by finishing in 84th with a time of 1:04:33.9.
