NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s golf will host the Fifth Annual Evie Odom Invitational this Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 16-18 at the Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.
The three-day tournament will begin with split tee starts from 9-10:50 a.m. for each round. The course at Princess Anne has a par of 70 and is 5,824 total yards, and live stats will be available on GolfStat.
Joining the Monarchs will be lineups from Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Furman, Georgia, James Madison,Maryland, North Florida, Penn State, Richmond, South Alabama and UNC Greensboro. Additionally, Tennessee will have individuals competing.
ODU’s lineup will include Puneet Bajwa, Barbara Car, Alina Shchepteva, Mariana Arronte and Ludovica Girola. Additionally, Julia Rafter will play as an individual.
Last year saw Old Dominion finish sixth as a team with a combined score of 29-over par 869. Barbara Car and Mariana Arronte both carded four-over 214s to tie for 15th and Lucia Gonzalez turned in a seven-over 217 to tie for 21st.
The Monarchs are hosting a collegiate tournament at Princess Anne for the seventh year. Previously known as the Princess Anne Invitational, the tournament was renamed for Evie Odom after she made the largest one-time donation to a woman’s sport in the history of ODU Athletics.
