ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Old Dominion University Sailing competed in three events over the weekend as Gianna Dewey led the way with a second place finish at the Faye Bennet MAISA Women’s singles regatta.
Dewey finished second with a race win and delivered five top-five finishes. Esther Ireland followed closely behind coming in at third place, also placing top five in five finishes. Arabella Duer placed fifth and secured the top five spot in four races.
The Monarchs placed fourth at the Chesapeake Invitational.
The Division A boat of Marina Conde and Emil Body-Goldberg placed 11th, while the Division B boat of Blake Goodwin and Lindsey Kaufmann took 12th followed closely by Division C of Pierce Brindley and Madison Bivins.
ODU placed seventh at the Chesapeake Open. Olivia Gilmore and Caspian Collett led the way with a 13thplace finish, while Emily Priest, Petre Humphrey and Morgan Auth took 16th.
